The villages Ormana, Ürünlü and Sarıhacılar (Akseki and İbradı districts of Antalya) are the first spots in which Turks started their residences on the Taurus Mountains. The houses in such villages are known as Buttoned Houses thanks to their extraordinary architecture using juniper, cedar and hemlock trees as carrying structures. The Horosan mortar prepared with egg is used as adhering the cut stones in between such wooden girders i.e. constructed without using any cement etc.

Altınbesik Cave is the biggest underground cave of Turkey and third of Europe. This cave is 450 meters high from the sea level and consists of three floors. The depth of the water in the cave is 15 meters. The water includes soda whereas not fish specie may exist. The spawns and bats are habitants of the cave. This cave is explored in the year 1966. 20 ponds may be seen in the cave whereas the entry to the cave is also through a 400 meters underground lake using a boat (requiring no other special equipment). The perfect travertine formations (resembling Pamukkale travertine) by the end of the entrance lake, the stalactites and stalagmites are worth to see.

The weather in Altınbesik Cave is humid and has a temperature of 16 degrees. The temperature is always same both in summer and winter seasons. You may feel the coolness even in front of the cave in summers. The weather within is said to be treating for the asthma disease however this is not an official declaration and no scientific research has been conducted yet.

Altınbesik National Park, also including the Altınbesik Cave, has been declared as a national park in the year 1994. The plant cover and diversity herein is astonishingly rich. The national park is also suitable for trekking activities and you may perform a forest walk in the free time to be given. The lunch will be eaten in the restaurant close to the national park.
